Annabel is Sponsor. She has a degree in History of Art with History from Bristol University and she qualified as a Physiotherapist with 1st class honours from UCL and The Middlesex Hospital in 1998. Annabel is a Trustee of The River and Rowing Museum in Henley-on-Thames and of The Arbib Foundation which sponsors The Langley Academy and Parlaunt Park Primary Academy.


Annabel was a Trustee of the Academy Sponsors Trust and then sat on the Academy Sponsors Advisory Council for the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust. She was appointed an Honorary Member of Council of the NSPCC in 2007 having been a member of their National Appeal Board during their FULL STOP campaign.
Annabel is also a Governor of Lambrook School, near Bracknell where she Chairs the Education and Health and Safety Committees.
Annabel is married with three children.

Rhodri was educated at Monmouth Boys School in South Wales before going to the College of St Mark and St John in Plymouth where he trained as a PE teacher on a 4 year Batchelor of Education Degree. He then spent most of his 22 years teaching in Hertfordshire apart from a 2 year stint in Enfield as a Deputy Headteacher responsible for student behaviour. He was the Headeacher at Longdean School in Hemel Hempstead for 6 years before joining The Langley Academy in April 2012 as the Principal.

Rhodri is married to Justine and they have three children. He is also a passionate Welshman who loves Rugby and Golf.

David Mallen CBE. David left school at 16 and was an apprentice in the steel industry for 3 years, whilst studying for A levels in his own time. He then went to Manchester University to study Economics and Politics. He was elected President of the Student Union and, later, to the National Executive of the NUS.

David’s career in education took him from being a teacher in Salford and Rochdale to becoming the Chief Education Officer of both the Inner London Education Authority, then the biggest LEA in the country, and of East Sussex. After retiring from this work, he became an adviser to the Department for Education. 

David has been awarded three honorary doctorates in recognition of his educational work.  He has chaired the governing bodies of other schools and held a number of non-educational posts.

Catherine is married with 2 children both of whom are currently at The Langley Academy. She has lived in Langley for all her married life and previously lived in Iver. Catherine worked in banking until she had her children and now works as a Teaching Assistant in a local primary school. 
 
Catherine’s father is a beef farmer and she spends a lot of her spare time helping him on the farm with the cattle, she is also the secretary for the Royal South Bucks Agricultural Association responsible for organising their annual ploughing match and show.
 
Catherine helped to form the first Parent Teachers Association at The Langley Academy and is involved in organising extracurricular events for students, parents and staff.

Tom graduated from Oxford University in 1995. He holds an MA (Hons) in Literae Humaniores (Classics) and a PGCE (Cambridge University 1996)


Since 1996 Tom has been a master at Eton College. He was head of Rowing (2005-2007), Head of Classics (2007 – 2010) and has been a House Master since 2010

Tom is married with 2 children.

Samia graduated from University of Bradford in 1992. Samia is a qualified social worker and has a career spanning 24 years in Children’s social care with a specialism in Safeguarding.


Since 1999 Samia has successfully run a consultancy service specialising in Social Care Management.


Samia is a parent governor, she is married with two children and currently resides in the Langley area.


Samia is a trustee of  the charity Thathi Community Project which funds and support educational provision in a rural area of Punjab Pakistan, the charity also promotes specific projects in relation to Health and providing clean running water.

Stephen holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Portsmouth and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde. He previously worked for Airbus UK in Filton, before taking 6 months to travel around Australia and South East Asia. Since returning, Stephen has spent nearly 10 years working for Babcock International Group at Heathrow airport, where he is currently contract manager for the operation and maintenance of the Heathrow baggage system.

Stephen is keen to assist students in their career progression, preparing them for life after the Langley Trust and leveraging his relationships within the Aviation Industry to provide greater learning opportunities to students.

He is married and lives in Maidenhead with his wife Kerry. His hobbies include travelling, live music and Cricket.

Rosie is married with 2 children, one of whom attends The Langley Academy and the other is studying at the University of Birmingham. She has lived in Langley all her life except for a few years when she lived in British Columbia, Canada and Hanwell, West London.


As a child Rosie attended schools in Langley and over her adult life has worked as an Office Manager for companies in Langley, Iver and Slough. In recent years she has worked for a local primary school, first as a Teaching Assistant supporting children with special needs and then as Clerk to the Governors and PA to The Senior Leadership Team.

Rosie has also worked as a volunteer with the National Childbirth Trust, Home Start Slough, various hockey clubs and has served as Chair of a Parent Teacher Association.


Rosie joined Slough Hockey Club when she was 13 and is still playing 45 years later.
