Student study leave policy during exam periods:

  • Students start the day at 08:20 unless an earlier revision session has been planned by subject staff
  • Students assemble in the restaurant at 08:20 for exams that begin at 09:00 (the exam may begin at 08:30)
  • Students assemble in the restaurant at 12:30 for exams that begin at 13:00
  • Any revision sessions planned to take place before exams will be communicated by relevant staff who will organise affected students and rooms
  • Students will attend lessons as normal if they aren't in an exam
  • In summer exam season, we produce a revision schedule that details the support available and any exceptions to the above.  Students are expected to attend the Academy until exams finish
  • In the case of afternoon examinations that end before the Academy day, students are permitted to leave at the end of the exam but this is communicated in advance and parents informed
