Welcome to THE LANGLEY ACADEMY

The Langley Academy aims for the highest achievement for all and to provide a welcoming, imaginative and creative environment which enriches the lives of all involved. We aspire to instil traditional values and promote respect for other beliefs. The Academy will strive to be at the forefront of science education. We will develop links with national and regional museums to add an external dimension to learning.

We believe that young people are the most important part of the academy, and that enabling students to learn is at the centre of all our work. The Langley Academy is an outstanding environment for learning. The academy was founded in September 2008 as a new 11-18 mixed academy. Together with our sponsors, the Arbib Foundation, we have created a centre of excellence that is at the heart of its community. One aim sums up our ethos: The Langley Academy aims for the highest achievement for all, providing a welcoming, imaginative and creative environment, which enriches the lives of all involved, where people are valued and make positive contributions to the academy community, and where students go on to become responsible, independent members of society. We are strong on discipline, strong on standards of achievement, and strong on providing the best for all our students. We have very high expectations of our students and staff, and of our parents/carers. Choosing a secondary school is one of the most important decisions we make as parents/carers.

I hope that you find this website informative and interesting - but I urge you to come and see our academy for yourself. I believe that you will be very impressed.

I look forward to meeting you.
