Key Stage 4 Curriculum 2024
On this page, we set out information about the key stage 4 core curriculum and option subjects that students may study.
Our students have the opportunity to choose some of the subjects they will study in Year 10. Please take the time to review the information below to ensure informed choices are made.
Making option choices is an important time for all students and we want to provide all students with the information they need. On this page, you will be able to access our video guide for parents, which sets out the curriculum our students will follow in Years 10 and 11.
You will also be able to review our options booklet which describes the content, assessment and career opportunities underpinning each of the core curriculum and option subjects. A large part of the curriculum is compulsory for all students but there is also an element of choice which means that students can shape their own learning programme in KS4 according to their interests and future education and career aspirations. GCSE and vocational qualifications are available; the style of each of these courses is very different. Please spend some time reading this information to help you make the best choices.

Unifrog is a complete destinations platform, a one-stop-shop for whole-school careers guidance, KS3-KS5. All available information is in one single, impartial, user-friendly platform that helps students make the best, choices, and submit the strongest applications.
Every student at the Academy has an account with Unifrog and will be using it during Careers lessons. We are asking parents and carers to encourage their children to sign in and use it at home.
