PE Update
Back
A big shoutout goes to our standout students of the term so far, who have been exceptional in both their attitude and performance. Their efforts to maintain a Healthy, Active Mind and Body are truly impressive!
We are particularly impressed by their sense of responsibility. They consistently arrive with their full PE kit/Equipment for learning and go above and beyond by assisting the teacher with picking up and organising equipment. These actions reflect a maturity and strong sense of teamwork that we highly value within the faculty.
Their resilience during PE lessons is equally admirable. No matter the challenge, they approach every activity with 100% effort. When faced with setbacks, they don’t give up; instead, they work harder to achieve their goals. This determination will benefit them not only in sports but in all aspects of life.
Additionally, their respect towards both their peers and staff members is exemplary. They are always kind, polite, and considerate, setting a fantastic example for others. It’s clear that they are becoming role models within our PE Faculty, and we couldn’t be prouder. Keep it up!

- Provides every student with opportunities to be active for at least 60 minutes each day, including adapted provision for students with SEND.
- Organises a wide range of inclusive competitions and events tailored to students' needs and confidence levels.
- Supports students’ transition into sport through key stages such as Years 3, 6, and 7.
- Encourages youth leadership, allowing students to take on roles such as sports leaders, referees, and event organisers.
- Engages with parents, staff, and the wider community to promote the value of sport and physical literacy.
The award not only recognises success in competitions, but also celebrates how The Langley Academy uses PE as a tool for personal growth, inclusion, and lifelong healthy habits. With four consecutive Gold awards, the school is now on track to aim for the Platinum School Games Mark, awarded to schools who consistently maintain excellence.
