Cambridge Tech IT Level 3: Employer Involvement

We were pleased to welcome Mr Luxford and Mr Dunmow from ServiceNow, a technology company based in Staines. They hosted a morning of real-life work experience for our 6th Form students, this supported the 6th Form Computing & IT students with meaningful employer involvement. This was an essential part of the Year 13 students’ course and valuable experience for all. Students were divided into teams and tackled tasks on the employer portal. This included creating database tables and navigating and creating workflows for these using the App Engine.
They were able to integrate theory with practice, thus gaining invaluable insight into the inner workings of a thriving international business. Students then presented their use case with confidence. They also learnt about careers with ServiceNow. The event by enjoyed by all.
