Year 7 - Cracking the Code!
Our brilliant Year 7 students have been diving into the world of computer systems and absolutely smashing it! They've been learning how computers process data and even tackled some tricky GCSE-level work. Binary to denary conversions? No problem! The excitement in the room was electric when they cracked the code — and some even went a step further by mastering binary addition. Codebreakers in the making!

Year 8 - Cyber Sleuths on the Case
This term, Year 8 have turned into digital detectives, investigating the world of Computer Crime and Cybersecurity. From spotting suspicious online behaviour to learning how to stay safe in the digital world, they’ve been developing real-life cyber-smarts to protect themselves and others online. Watch out, hackers — our students are onto you!

Year 9 - Defenders of the Digital World
Students have been on a mission to understand Network Security and System Software. They’ve explored different types of threats to data — think viruses, phishing and malware — and come up with clever ways to stop them in their tracks. With a growing knowledge of firewalls, encryption, and access rights, they’re becoming true guardians of cyberspace.

Enrichment - Coding Just Got Cool!
Students across the year groups have been trying out some exciting coding platforms - and the favourite by far? LightBot! This fun and brain-teasing game gets students to programme a robot to light up tiles using sequential commands, loops and procedures. It’s been amazing to see them solve puzzles while learning key programming concepts without even realising it!

Year 10 - Coders on the Rise
Our Year 10s are continuing to level up their programming skills through Time2Code, steadily becoming expert coders. Alongside coding, they’ve been tackling the ethical, legal, and environmental impacts of technology — preparing thoroughly for their upcoming GCSE mock exams. Their focus and enthusiasm are setting a high bar!

Year 11 - Final Stretch to Success
Year 11 recently completed their Paper 1 exam and are now gearing up for Paper 2 this week. They revised extensively using Smart Revise, making the most of its powerful retrieval practice and personalized feedback. Alongside this, they created impactful infographics to teach their peers, tackled challenging exam-style questions, and truly embraced collaborative learning. With the confidence they showed after Paper 1, we’re expecting some fantastic results!

A Levels - Innovators in the Making
Students have successfully submitted their aspirational programming projects, showcasing creativity, problem-solving, and technical skill. From timetabling systems and flashcard revision games to stock control tools and a variety of engaging games, their work reflects both ambition and capability. A fantastic achievement to mark the end of their coursework journey! Meanwhile, Year 12 have begun developing their computational thinking and programming skills. They're now exploring initial ideas for their own projects, laying the groundwork for another exciting year of innovation and learning.

Enrichment – Coding Just Got Cool!
Some of our Year 10 students in the Enrichment Club haven’t taken Computer Science as a main subject and have been learning Python using Compute.it and received completion certificates. While engagement varied, a number of students managed to get to grips with the basics, and a few even explored more advanced coding challenges.
