Year 10 Virtual Work ExperienceBack
Year 10 recently attended their Virtual Work Experience Day organised by Learning to Work where they had the opportunity for live interaction with companies such as 02, Iver Environment Centre, Slough Urban Renewal, Aston Bond Law Firm, HealthReach, Sports4Kids, Reckitt Benckiser, VMWare and Worley Parsons.
They met employers, had a virtual tour of company premises, heard about a ‘Day in the Life of’ selected employees and had to complete employer set tasks. These creating an advertising campaign, a sports programme for young children, an environmental session for a primary class, a product proposition with marketing slogan and a programme of works planning. Some students completed research into uses of mechanical equipment, different types of law and Cloud providers and others learnt about patient diagnosis and looked at treatment case studies.
